March 2021 Marks 10 Years Of The Weeknd. 
The Weeknd’s talents goes beyond the beats and transcends what it means to be a music artist.  
Starting at the bottom, he mastered his craft over the years and transformed the RnB genre with his dark and expressive sound and helped to pave the way for new singers, producers and songwriters. He has a strong sense of personal identity and became a powerhouse in the industry after founding his own label, XO Records. He is an icon and a revolutionary artist and should be celebrated as such. 
He will be celebrating a decade of his evolution in music and fashion alongside his supporters by collaborating with Nike to release a line of limited edition “The Weeknd” inspired Air Force Ones on March 21st, 2021. 
The line is inspired by The Weeknd’s album covers to demonstrate his ever evolving career.
The collaboration will be made public two weeks out from his anniversary date. At this time, Nike will be accepting pre-orders only. 
A limited edition “Blackout Box” will be used for the packaging.
Every pair of shoes comes with a thank you note handwritten by The Weeknd. His thank you note will be scanned and mass printed and included in every order.   
The limited edition shoes will be primarily promoted through Nike's and The Weeknd's social media accounts as well as through OOH starting March 7th, 2021. In between March 7th-March 21st The Weeknd will be doing promos to gear up for the big launch on March 21st.

The Weeknd has built a loyal fan base over the years that has created a home on Twitter. 
Fan accounts with large followings will repost and spread the news and generate hype around and during the launch.
